We are looking to hire a key member of our Operations team at our Dover, Ohio location.
Key Responsibilities
Plans, Supervises, and assigns maintenance work selected for the daily schedule and partners with the Maintenance Coordinator to determined scheduled maintenance activities.
Monitors continuation of work in progress.
Inputs and/or assigns emergency work orders received directly from Operations.
Provides managerial oversight to direct reports including the safety, quality, and efficiency of their work execution, skill assessment and training, and administrative personnel matters.
Ensures jobs are planned and performed safely, holds employees accountable to the schedule, studies daily work schedule carefully and informs craft of their work assignments in accordance with the daily work schedule as soon as possible, ensures that plant equipment, tools, and materials are available before starting a job, distributes work that maximizes productivity and sees that work is executed as scheduled.
Follows up on jobs to determine progress and status of the daily work, gives the Maintenance Coordinator a daily status report about jobs indicating those to be completed by the end of the shift and those expected to carry over, and assists in coordination of plant safety programs, as the Supervisor/Planner.
Solicits recommendations for improving procedures/plans from craft and incorporates improvements in job plans, reviews work packages of planned work orders and makes the necessary changes, ensures work packages are properly completed and returned promptly, reviews the causes of major repairs with Operations and Engineering to determine the root cause and corrective action necessary to prevent a recurrence, maintains open communications with Operations personnel covering safety, jobs, and housekeeping, maintains the area’s basic shop and equipment, supports craft training needs, arranges, and schedules their training.
Performance Measures:
Asset availability, mean time to repair (MTTR), daily schedule compliance/tracking, emergency work level, weekly schedule compliance, PM schedule compliance, % jobs overdue, overtime, rework and repetitive work, and maintenance costs vs.
budget
Required Skills
2-5 years of supervisor experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries.
Leading and supervising personnel, planning and organizing activities
Practical usage of IT enablers (CMMS) such as MS Office and SAP
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Results oriented and demonstrated track record
Familiarity with root cause incident investigation, mitigation and prevention programs
Basic knowledge of applicable environmental rules and regulations
Education, Certifications & Licenses
Bachelors in Engineering preferred
CMRT or CMRP Certification is a Plus
