Activity/Social Services Director

Minerva Healthcare and Rehab is now seeking a Social Service and Activity Director for our skilled nursing facility.
This Dual Role presents a unique opportunity to help and encourage residents to feel engaged and also work as the representative for social interests.
Social Service Director: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
Licensure or certification as a social worker in the state of OH At least one year of relevant experience Experience in Skilled Nursing preferred Excellent communication skills Responsibilities of Activity Director: Develops, maintains and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations and other useful resources for program development.
Recruits, plans and manages volunteer opportunities for the community Manages, trains and develops staff and volunteers Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and the public Apply today to learn more about the company and position!
