The Bookkeeper/Office Administrator will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
This is a part-time position with an opportunity to be full-time.
Geib Funeral Home & Crematory offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Perform various accounting and financial duties contributing to company goals and objectives Maintain and/or review all bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and reconcile accordingly Ensure all general accounting functions are entered and journalized in a timely and correct manner for all designated operations Coordinate and manage office administrative tasks, such as managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Provide general administrative support to the team, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing office communications.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualified individuals should possess the following required education, experience, and skills: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or office administrator, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and office management practices.
Experience with QuickBooks is necessary, QuickBooks Pro certification is desired.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communicator with the ability to work with team members.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
