The Staff Accountant prepares and maintains daily accounting records and assists in the closing of month and year-end financial information.
Responsibilities:
Processes and maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable
Tracks and reconciles inventory on a monthly basis
Compile labor and inventory for job billings
General ledger reconciliation
Maintains lease contracts
Preparation of sales tax returns
Prepares payroll information for payroll processing
Performs preliminary month-end and year-end trial balance closings
Communicates with various departments to obtain necessary information
Manage company corporate credit card program
Daily bank entries
Performs other duties as may be deemed necessary
Skills and Requirements:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with all aspects of accounting software applications and Microsoft Office Applications.
Great Plains software experience an advantage.
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
Education and experience:
Associates Degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience required.
