Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of our financial management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as proven leadership skills.
As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial goals.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement opportunities.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Mentor and develop accounts payable, receivable and payroll staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.
\*\*Qualifications:\*\*
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Global Shop Solutions software preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality.
