BAND SAW OPERATOR - MANUFACTURING UNION SHOP - NAVARRE, OH FOUR (4) DAY WORK WEEK SECOND SHIFT - M - TH - 2:30 P TO 1:00 AM $21.
86 AN HOUR - FULL TIME REGULAR SCHEDULE WITH ONLY FIVE (5) SATURDAY SHIFTS A YEAR FULL BENEFITS + VAC & 11 PAID ( NO WORK) HOLIDAYS A YEAR Position Summary: Complying with all safety, quality and environmental requirements, the Band Saw Operator sets up and operates a table mounted bad saw used to cut corrugated material to the correct dimensions, tolerances, and/or other specifications as defined on a job order.
Role & Responsibilities: Set-up and operate band saw machines Install saw blade and set blade height and tension for specific operation Set blade angle using a wrench and stops and guides using steel rule and wrenches Wax the blade and surrounding surface to reduce friction and tension Operate saw to cut along measured dimension Verify first piece and period inspections and all finished products.
Maintain all standards of quality as it pertains to providing product to the customer requirements.
Records and tags non-conforming product, scrap and waste on each run.
Preforms reactive and preventive maintenance.
Assist in lifting pallets on to conveyor.
Assures machine clean-up after each order as needed, and at the end of every shift.
Clean and perform day-to-day maintenance of equipment Ensure all necessary work orders are filed out completely and properly Complete other production related duties as assigned This position reports to the Shift Supervisor, Plant Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.
