*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* (include the following; however, other duties may apply.
)
· Reference blueprints and confer with Lead person to determine job requirements
· Fabricates various structural equipment from blue prints and work orders
· Gather necessary materials and perform layout per specifications
· Report any material shortages to the Supervisor
· Set up welding machine and adjust settings
· Position, clamp, and/or tack weld as needed before beginning welding process
· Welding, fabrication, rigging, lifting of heavy dangerous objects in a safe manner, use of fork lifts, use of scissors lifts, use of cutting equipment, torch, plasma, saw, assembly and painting of
projects general repair and maintenance of shop equipment.
· Visually examine welds for adherence to quality standards
· Assemble components and verify specifications
· Fabricate-weld components as required by internal or customer drawings
· Follow fabrication procedures
· Work well with Fabricators, Machinist, Management and support functions to complete projects
· Knowledgeable of inspection of parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers or other inspection equipment
· Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of department area
*Qualifications:*
· Welding ( MIG and TIG)
· Individual to be mechanically inclined, self-motivated and reliable
· Individual must be able to work on projects independently with minimal supervision
· Must demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Improvement in every activity and project assigned
· Must have experience working with hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment and utilizing the metric system
· Identify and locate material by dimensional size and color
· Retrieve all required materials

- Welding (MIG, TIG, )
- Forklift operation
- Machining processes
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to assemble and fabricate metal components
