Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Afternoon Shift

*Inca Presswood Pallets* is a manufacturer of Engineered Molded Wood™ pallets, core plugs, and extruded wood blocks, along with other engineered wood products located in Dover, OH.
We are currently looking for a qualified *Industrial Maintenance Mechanic *working full time on afternoon shift with competitive pay, and excellent benefits including 401k and paid vacation.
*Position Summary* The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic works to maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment while sustaining outstanding safety standards throughout the plant.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities* The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Works in a safe and efficient manner.
* Should have basic skill/knowledge of hydraulic, welding, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, presses, conveyor systems, and production machines.
Must be able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions.
* Must be skilled at troubleshooting malfunctions.
* Completes work in an efficient and timely manner.
* Removes defective parts by dismantling machines; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining all parts for signs of wear, and determines need for replacement.
* Communicates often with all levels of the organization regarding work completed, and status of projects.
* Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking out stock; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, and communicating needs.
* Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
* Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
* Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, both verbally and through work orders.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Welds and fabricates simple machine components as needed to maintain production.
*Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)* * High School Diploma required * 2-3 years experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems * 1-2 years electrical experience on manufacturing equipment * STRONG troubleshooting experience is a must * Must have flexible schedule * Must be able to perform the physical activities necessary in an active work environment such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials * Lift 2-40 lbs.
with some position requiring capability of lifting 50lbs.

They must be able to talk and hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with his hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

* Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
* Ear and Eye protection is required at all times in designated production areas.
* Steel toe boots are required at all times.
