Junior Construction Project Manager

The Eckinger Construction Company located in Canton Ohio is celebrating 100 years of business in 2023.
Eckinger Construction builds retail stores, restaurants, and other commercial projects throughout the country that offers clients a diverse scope of services to meet all building needs.

If you have a positive attitude, thrive in a fast-paced environment and love a good challenge, you are our person! The Junior Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on multiple construction projects from project estimating all the way to building completion.
This role has the potential to move up into a Project Management position in the future.
Job duties include: * Estimate projects * Read blueprints and complete material takeoffs as applicable * Review subcontractor bids for completeness * Establish and maintain a working relationship with the customer and/or owner * Create new opportunities through the customer and/or owner relationships * Develop and maintain a project schedule per the customer and/or owner * Issue purchase orders to subcontractors and for necessary materials * Maintain project budget * Ensure timely completion of project * Constant communication with site superintendents to ensure successful project completion * Project range is typically $100,000 to $5,000,000 * Responsible for other project duties assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or 3 years equivalent experience * Supervisory and/or leadership skills * Ability to travel with the US on site visits approximately 25% of the time * Strong communication skills * Proficient in blueprint reading * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Must be detailed orientated Position Includes: * Salary and bonus structure * Paid Travel & Food per diem * Salary based on applicants’ education and experience.
