Excavator Operator

*Summary: *The Indoor Excavator Operator is responsible for using a magnet attachment to pick up used oil filters and load a hopper on a crusher machine.
Additionally, the Operator will use a bucket attachment to mix wood shavings in a pit with used oils and liquids to solidify the product.
General labor will be periodically required.
*Essential duties of Position:* · Safely and efficiently operate excavator.
May be required to operate other pieces of heavy equipment such as: forklift, skid steer etc.
· Conduct routine inspections before operating equipment to identify needed maintenance or repairs · Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment · Perform general labor tasks when required · Cooperate with managers and colleagues to ensure that jobs are completed on time · Ensure company equipment is well-maintained, cleaned and stored properly in a safe manner · Maintain a safe and clean working environment · Other duties as assigned by management *Qualifications:* · High School diploma/GED or equivalent required · Heavy equipment certification is a plus · 1-3 years of related experience required *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:* · Ability to sit for long periods of time operating heavy machinery · Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis · Ability to complete physically demanding work, lifting and carrying heavy objects · Exceptional hand-eye-foot coordination · Ability to follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices · High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promotes a safe work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
