The *Store Manager *is responsible for creating and maintaining a “WOW” retail shopping experience unlike any other.
The *Store Manager* will assist Team Members in creating this memorable visitor experience by engaging guests in a positive and helpful manner, offering accurate and relevant information in a manner focused on providing exceptional customer service, and creating an outstanding first impression by hiring, training, motivating, and leading qualified staff.
The *Store Manager *will perform duties which include but are not limited to staff management and general supervision of staff, budgeting, general accounting, event management, shipping, and purchasing.
*Education:* * Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience *Experience:* * Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management position within a retail environment * Familiarity with Lehman’s line of non-electric merchandise is a plus but not required *Scheduling *- Must be willing and able to work the schedule of a retail environment, which includes but is not limited to: * Saturdays * Traditional holidays (Independence Day, Memorial Day, Black Friday, etc.
) * Physical presence/assistance for special store events (Ladies Night, Fall Festival, Old Fashioned Christmas, etc.
) *Tasks & Responsibilities:* * Lead the culture – hire, train, and evaluate personnel in multiple departments, promoting or disciplining Team Members when appropriate.
* Direct and supervise Team Members engaged in sales, guest experience, stocking, inventory management, and cashiering.
* Ability to think strategically and implement plans to improve the business.
* Creatively solve problems as they arise and ensure they are carried out.
* Plan and ensure execution of payroll hours and dollars to provide an exceptional guest experience while also planning for appropriate profit.
* Do “Whatever it Takes” – willing to perform any work activities needed, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays, or selling merchandise when necessary.
* Provide growth opportunities for Team Members, including training seminars and other educational material as appropriate.
* Provide “WOW!” customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries, suggestions and concerns.
* Monitor Kidron KPIs to ensure the business is healthy, taking swift action when necessary.
* Enforce safety, health, and security rules.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
*Skills:* * *General* – which includes but is not limited to: * Organization/coordination of tasks * Must be detail-oriented – there are many moving parts in the store and warehouse in Hartville, as well as with the Team Members and departments located in the main office * Must be an excellent communicator with staff and departments across Lehman’s and HRM Enterprises * Being comfortable with computers and various computer programs which include but are not limited to: * Microsoft Office Suite * Spreadsheets – advanced or expert level user is a plus * Point of Sale (POS) and inventory system * Ability to learn and to teach new policies and/or procedures in regards (but not limited) to: * Operational demands * Change in business direction * *Personal* - which includes but is not limited to: * Social – being able to initiate and/or maintain a positive rapport with all departments of the Lehman’s business as well as external vendors.
