We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Community Manager with a strong background in maintenance technician skills, particularly on a 40-unit multifamily community located in Carrollton, OH with section 8 experience.
As the Community Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, fostering a positive living environment, and ensuring the efficient maintenance of the property.
This position requires a unique combination of property management expertise and hands-on maintenance skills.
Responsibilities:
Property Management:
Oversee the overall management and administration of the Section 8 multifamily community.
Ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations, including but not limited to Section 8 guidelines.
Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintenance Oversight:
Utilize your maintenance technician experience to oversee and coordinate all aspects of property maintenance.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Tenant Relations:
Foster positive relationships with residents to enhance the overall community living experience.
Communicate effectively with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Implement community engagement initiatives to create a sense of belonging among residents.
Financial Management:
Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for property operations.
Monitor and manage rent collection, ensuring timely payments and addressing any delinquencies.
Leasing and Marketing:
Collaborate with leasing agents to maintain high occupancy levels.
Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management, with a focus on Section 8 multifamily communities.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a residential setting.
Strong understanding of Section 8 housing regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage a team and coordinate with external contractors.
Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in general maintenance and repair
