The Product Research Technician will operate machinery to perform in-house testing on AMEC products, ensure product quality, and manage data processing tasks.
Requirements
Operate various machining equipment for internal and customer drill testing, ensuring AMEC product performance.
Collaborate with engineers and managers to understand test goals and outcomes.
Setup fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for accurate testing.
Fabricate basic tooling for securing or supporting workpieces using dedicated machine tools and safe machining methods.
Modify test program macros and create basic CNC programs as needed.
Ensure proper identification and inspection of drill products prior to testing.
Procure necessary AMEC products for testing purposes.
Provide timely test start times to stakeholders.
Coordinate with different AMEC departments for support.
Operate a fork truck when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
Ability to analyze and interpret data.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and setup.
Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
Familiarity with data acquisition instrumentation.
Ability to lift up to 32 pounds unassisted.
Education/Experience:
Associate degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Journeyman apprenticeship preferred.
