As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will use your skills to support the Production Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining butter and cheese producing equipment and all associated systems throughout the building.
While working under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, you will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair equipment used in all aspects of dairy product production.
You will be utilizing blueprints, machine drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics, equipment literature, parts lists, assembly drawings, hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete your assigned tasks.
At times you will have the opportunity to assist the Facilities
Maintenance team or outside contractors.
*Essential Job Functions:*
* Perform diversified duties to install and maintain machines
* Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of machines
* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment
* Performs scheduled preventative maintenance of equipment
* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
* Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments
* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
* Repair various equipment including motors, pumps, and industrial robots
* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
* Manage time, to effectively complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner and in the order by which they were received or by level of urgency
* Maintain a current and in-depth knowledge of all safety and sanitation policies and standards related to the position.
Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others
* Set up, track, and organize parent/child work orders in PM system
*Requirements:*
* 3-5 years relevant maintenance experience and/or training
* 2-year certificate from college/technical school a plus
* Knowledge of industrial electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
* Previous dairy/food experience helpful
* Ability to troubleshoot and maintain VFDs and HMIs
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as maintenance/manufacturing manuals and blueprints
* Ability to use electrical and electronic test instruments
* Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools (Must supply own hand tools)
* Ability to repair, rebuild, or overhaul equipment
* Working knowledge of PLC controls
* Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
* Highly personable and trustworthy
* Experience in using CMMS software (Hippo a plus)
