Diesel Shop Manager/Supervisor

A shop supervisor is responsible for monitoring the overall operations of the shop and mechanics.
This means delegating tasks and mentoring the shop personnel by ensuring the highest quality service of our equipment.
Qualifications Legally eligible to work in the United States Must be able to pass a drug test At least 5 years shop and fleet experience CDL Class A & CDL Medical Certificate Good people skills Time management Decent MVR Report per insurance guidelines Able to work an on-call schedule, weekends, night and holidays Basic computer skills Responsibilities Managing and mentoring mechanics Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop The ability to handle scheduling and shop operation Working with outside vendors to service and repair equipment as needed Getting approval for all expenses that run through the shop Keeping repair cost in line with the value of the equipment Scheduling truck maintenance with drivers and dispatchers Communicating with parts runner on needed parts Minimizing down time by prioritizing and keeping mechanics on task Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including DOT Safety Regulations Comply with all company, customer, and industry policies and procedures including safety polices Perform administrative duties as needed, including receiving and entering repairs on computer daily Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment Other duties as assigned
