Kimble Recycling and Disposal, Inc.
of Ohio is seeking a qualified Fleet Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance departments within the company.
Previous experience in fleet management experience required.
The director oversees the company’s fleet equipment, heavy equipment and recycling maintenance programs, site maintenance managers and their staff, all site inventory, and training.
*Maintenance:*
* Oversee operation of all maintenance shops
* Supervise shop managers and their staff indirectly
* Engage in quality control, including spot-checking repairs to ensure they are performed properly and in a timely manner
* Manage preventative maintenance program to be kept up to date and delegate responsibilities to shop managers accordingly
* Direct fleet management software and hardware systems – repairs, updates, and upgrades
* Ensure maximum productivity and establish productivity improvement goals are met where needed
*Profitability/Budgetary:*
* Maintain expenditures and monitor budgetary expenses related to the company
* Work with upper management to develop yearly, monthly, and declining maintenance budgets
* Audit P&L and GL accounts
* Review and forecast capital expenditure needs
*Inventory/Purchasing:*
* Ensure proper physical inventory needed to maintain our equipment
* Work closely with outside vendors for quality control purposes to ensure timely repairs are performed in the most cost effective manner
*Reporting:*
* Report to executive management on status of corporate maintenance, truck, and equipment readiness
*Operations:*
* Interview, hire, and oversee disciplinary action
* Coordinate with individual shop managers to ensure they have the appropriate equipment to service our customers on a daily basis
* Coordinate with the shop managers to ensure the status of the fleet, to develop new policies and procedures, to develop the yearly budget
* Coordinate with corporate purchasing manager to ensure that corporate purchasing systems and process are accurately tracking inventory and coding correctly
* Implement quality control over inventory process
*Employee Development:*
* Develop and maintain process for continuing education on new equipment.
* Identify exceptional individuals and coach for management positions
* Ensure that all new employees receive the proper coaching and performance management
* Oversee employee development of all staff in the maintenance shops
*General:*
* When work load deems necessary, perform repairs on required equipment
* Perform road calls when necessary
* Perform any other assignments requested by the company
*Job Knowledge:*
* Perform maintenance and repair work for a variety of automotive and industrial equipment
* OSHA safety practices
* General management and human resource skills
* Purchasing & inventory management
*Prior Work Experience:*
* Must have proven diesel mechanic experience with at least 4 years’ experience
* Must have previous management experience
* Direct knowledge of DOT guidelines
