In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
*What You'll Do:* * Oversee and manage the maintenance department, including scheduling for 1-2 other maintenance staff members, training, and performance evaluations.
* Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution.
* Manage and track maintenance budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and secure cost-effective solutions.
* Stay up-to-date on relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure compliance.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resident well-being.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the maintenance team.
*Who You Are:* * Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Director role, preferably within the healthcare or senior living industry.
* Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
* Proven ability to manage and prioritize workload, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the facility as needed.
