SUMMARY
Plans and provides support services and instruction to staff and students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides Level 1 Technical Support for staff and students at Southgate, as well as the embedded classroom at Avondale, by logging, troubleshooting, managing and solving hardware and software issues.
Assists and supports school staff in resolving software issues with various software programs utilized throughout the school.
Troubleshoots Network complications, including network availability and cabling from the PC to the switch ports.
Creates User Guides, how-to instructional videos and email technology tips for hardware/software use such as: SmartBoards, Starboards, iPads, Apple iOS, Microsoft Office, MS Windows, KRONOS, Vizzle, Brittco, amongst others to provide support to teachers and other school staff; Maintains inventory and requisition of hardware and software assets, as well as upgrades with a sense of urgency to maintain efficient operations.
Coordinates with IT Department on software and hardware update/install rollouts.
Maintains, updates, and inventories classroom Chromebooks and associated Gmail accounts.
Manages inventory and installs hardware/software resources in the Technology Resource Library for classroom use.
Maintains school-owned iPads by updating iOS systems and downloading required applications.
Researches and maintains AT Technology for student use such as: switch devices, trackball and joystick devices, and speech-to-text software, and works to match student needs.
Assists students with AT devices, as necessary.
Assists student with logging on and accessing AT resources such as: Windows Ease of Access, Vizzle, Unique Learning System, and navigating websites.
Maintains and troubleshoots AT speech devices, Cisco phone systems, classroom SmartBoards, and other equipment, as necessary.
Provides ODE RESA technical assistance for first through third year teaching staff.
Provides Professional Development Training on Assistive Technologies for staff.
Maintains inventory of and updates laptop computers for use by staff for training on/off-campus, webinars, and Alternative Assessments for students.
Works with Transition IS to identify technology supports that apply to life and job related skills.
Operates, maintains and upgrades the A/V needs of students and staff.
Provides A/V technical support for special events such as: Staff Meetings, Parent/Teacher Conferences, PBIS Events, Staff Orientation, Guest Speaker Events, Parent Group Sponsored events, Award Assemblies, and Graduation.
Maintains and troubleshoots classroom PHONAK Sound Amplification System.
PROFESSIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Creates, updates, resolves or upgrades technology issues in IT Department ZenDesk Ticketing System.
Continues own professional development, and participates in required in-services as required by administration.
Maintains certification in areas required by the Board/licensure requirements and others as required by administration.
Meets required professional development hours per ODE regulations.
Maintains confidentiality of student information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

), Apple iOS Systems (iPads) and applications, SmartBoard/Notebook, BoardMaker, wired and wireless networks.
