A family practice physician is needed for a well-established medical center in Mt.
Eaton, Ohio.
The current physician is retirement age and is phasing out.
He has practiced for 40 years in the area, primarily serving the Plain community (Amish and Mennonite).
The center is committed to serving the Plain community and will operate on a self-pay basis.
Insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare will not be billed.
Others who desire the services and agree to pay for them are welcome.
The physician must provide services such as suturing, x-rays, casting, and other minor procedures.
The practice can include obstetrics, if so desired.
A Plain community birthing center is located within one mile and there is the possibility of hospital deliveries as well.
The center is operated by a non-profit organization and provides administrative oversight.
Call will be shared with another physician in the building.
Salary and benefits will be competitive.
Mt.
Eaton is in rural northeast Ohio just south of Wooster (16 miles), Canton (22 miles), and Cleveland (60 miles).
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses and conditions.
- Perform routine physical examinations and preventive screenings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Experience:
- Experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare systems and quality standards.
- Competence in medication administration and prescription management.
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
