SUMMARY: As the Corporate Controller you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while implementing and maintaining robust financial controls.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data, and provide financial insights and strategic guidance to support key decision-making processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
Implement and maintain financial reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
Develop and maintain robust forecasting models to support informed decision-making.
Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights to the executive team.
Financial Controls: Establish and maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate financial risks.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in financial controls.
Cash Flow Management: Manage and optimize cash flow through effective treasury management.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance working capital efficiencies.
Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership in the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with company goals.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other business development opportunities.
General duties/responsibilities: Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, facilitating professional growth.
Participate in the hiring process of new team members.
Manage direct reports and oversee indirect reports.
Participate in performance reviews, corrective actions, and career development.
Develop and implement actions/plans to meet the operational and strategic goals of the company.
Develop and maintain financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, budgeting, and results analysis.
Analyze manufacturing variations and provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve differences.
Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
Install, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures relative to those systems.
Coordinate the year-end closing activities for multiple entities and interfaces with outside accountants.
Leadership and active involvement and engagement in the team’s tasks are the culture and the expectation in this role.
Become a subject matter expert in costing and financial data reporting.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES: 8+ years of Controller / Accounting experience.
Management/leadership experience.
Highly analytical in solving issues and providing direction.
Ability to think strategically and provide creative solutions to complex problems.
Ability to accurately interpret complex data and business information.
Demonstrated ability to write, speak, and present information effectively to all levels of the organization.
Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
Experience in budget development and preparation of financial statements is required.
Understanding of inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
