Administrative and Accounting Assistant to work in a Manufacturing Company.
Responsibilities:
-Establish and set up new vendors within the Sage 50 accounting system, including completion of credit application, obtaining current W9, and vendor payment method (ACH, vCard, or check).
-Maintain the vendor account to ensure that current terms, payment method, and vendor remit information is current and accurate.
-Process PO's from customers to sales orders make sure they are accurate.
-Process Bill of Ladings for freight pickups of daily orders.
-Order & monitor inventory for supplies for packaging product.
-Answer phone lines for 3 companies.
-Basic Accounts Payable entry.
-Assist in Human Resource on boarding and maintaining files.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Accounting experience - Associate degree PREFERRED
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Experience with financial software systems such as Workday, Sage, Quicken, or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with data entry and attention to detail and accuracy
-Team player as this is a small family-owned business.
