Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team.
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department managers to develop accurate financial projections
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to finance team members
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, etc.
- Experience in general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial analysis
