Purpose: Work closely with marketing to implement design strategies and communications to be utilized by the marketing team.
The graphic design intern will update Midwest branded collateral by utilizing the updated brand guide, producing print-ready files for all promotional pieces.
Key Accountabilities: Design and produce print and digital materials, demonstrating proficiency in both mediums Utilize templated designs for turn-key collateral to streamline the creation process Aid in the organization and maintenance of a structured file management system for efficient workflow Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to develop on-brand design concepts Ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines and successfully meet project deadlines Employ graphic design software and work with various media to create visually compelling assets Receive constructive feedback from the Director, Customer Experience and implement necessary changes Perform image retouching and manipulation to enhance visual appeal, as needed Other duties as assigned (Section Two) Employee Accountabilities: All employees at Midwest are accountable to: Work cooperatively, using pro-social behaviors, bring full effort to their work, including less preferred work.

(Section Three – Human Resources Information) Requirements: Graphic Design major is preferred; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of major Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals Experience in various areas of content creation and design with a strong willingness to learn Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with peers in a team effort Candidates must be local (Canton, OH) and will work in the office at least 3 days per week Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Work Environment: Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
