The Opportunity… We are seeking a Behavioral Health Psychologist Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative supervision to psychology staff (Psychologist & Psychology Assistants), Behavioral Health Supervisors, Psychiatry, and Occupational Therapy employed or assigned to Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, implement & assess overall behavioral health programs & services; ensure compliance with certifying & accrediting agencies (e.
g.
, American Correctional Association, American Psychological Association); DYS policy, and Ohio Standards Provide advice & consultation on psychological matters in consultation with administrative staff & other clinical services; Develop & establish procedures to ensure psychological assessment, risk assessment (violence and suicide), suicide risk reduction, and interventions are conducted as defined by DYS policy and procedure; Perform psychological services including assessments & psychological testing, psychological treatment planning & intervention (groups, consultation, individual therapy) & participation on unit interdisciplinary teams; Work with department heads, specifically, social services & medical staff, to develop, monitor & evaluate comprehensive mental health services to both mental health & general population youth; Confer with institutional professionals (e.
g.
, psychiatrist, nurse, social worker, therapeutic recreation staff, chaplain, educational staff, unit administration & management staff) regarding program implementation; Consult with agency stakeholders; DYS parole; the courts Perform administrative functions related to supervision of staff (e.
