CDL Driver

R&J Machine CDL driver job description · Monday through Friday day shift starting at 6:00AM.
Deliver and/or pick up starting from our New Philadelphia location to customers and service providers almost always within 150 air miles from base.
We try to be back at base by 3-4pm daily.
· Paid hourly (overtime after 40 hours) · Starting wage between $20.

99% home every night Paid time off - accrual system o There might be a very rare occurrence where it is asked to run a multiple day load.
If that happens, hotels and meals are provided.
· Drive a day cab semi with a 36’ flatbed trailer.
o The equipment is newer and well maintained.
· Prefer 1-year CDL A driving experience.
· Flatbed experience would help, but we are willing to train.
· Driver is required to: o Pre trip, post trip o Maintain daily maintenance log.
o Secure load – we will train if needed.
o Tarp load – if needed – we will train if needed.
o Fill fuel and DEF when needed.
o Keep track of daily mileage, fuel, receipts, and load paperwork.
o Navigate to and from the needed stops using efficient routes approved for the equipment being driven.
o Operate equipment in a safe and law-abiding manner.
o Follow FMCSA rules.
o Pass a pre-employment drug and fit for duty test.
o Pass random drug and/or alcohol tests.
o Obtain and keep a valid CDL Class A license and a valid DOT medical card.
· Experience loading and unloading trucks with a forklift and/or a remotely operated overhead crane would be great, but we are willing to train how to do so.
o We do staff material handlers, but it is sometimes may be necessary to load and unload your truck.
o On the off chance that there are no loads to haul, we would have you help shipping and receiving handle material.
· Pass pre-employment MVR and background check.
