Hiring a Resources Specialists for HARCATUS Community Services Offices in the tri-county area, current need is for a Resource Specialist to work out of the Tuscarawas County Office.
Applicants location is subject to change based upon internal transfers.
Office locations are in Cadiz, Ohio; Carrollton, Ohio and Dover, Ohio.
*MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:* * *Processing paperwork and applications:* Complete HEAP Winter/Summer Crisis, PIPP Plus, CSP applications & required document data entry &/or forms in accordance with Agency and program guidelines.
Must complete all paperwork and data entry with a high degree of accuracy and by established timelines.
Assist in maintaining an active, well organized Community Services office.
* *Customer Service: *Assist consumers with appointments and related documents as needed.
Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, scanning, copying and faxing.
Assist customers with questions related to Community Service programs.
* *HARCATUS Knowledge: *Achieve familiarity with all HARCATUS programs/services and the program/services of other agencies in the community to make appropriate referrals.
Regularly attend scheduled staff meetings.
Must successfully pass criminal records check, registry checks and drug screening as per agency and funding requirements.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License, reliable transportation, and clearance to drive HARCATUS vehicles.
Must maintain any necessary credentials or licenses and attend off-site meetings and/or trainings occasionally requiring overnight stay.

* Must be able to remain in stationary position &/or seated position 50% of the time.
* Must be able to drive for extended periods of time on rural roads in various weather conditions.
* Must be able to move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
* Must be able to operate computer and other office equipment, such as calculator, copy machine, and printer.
* Must be able to climb (stairs/ladders) or balance while on stairs/ladders on a daily basis.
* Must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to forty (40) pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
* While performing this job, the employee will be indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
*QUALIFICATIONS*: * High school diploma and/or GED preferred.
* Must be sensitive to the needs of low income individuals, respect diversity and be culturally competent.
* Must show commitment to assisting customers in moving out of poverty.
* Must have strong high-speed internet connection at home in order to be productive if remote work were required.
* Must be computer literate and be capable of mastering CSBG/HEAP web-based computer programs.
* Must be willing learn new skills; specialized social service-related skills preferred.
* Must have good verbal skills and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, clients, and general public.
* Ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures relating to agency and program guidelines, instructions, office correspondence, and memos.
* Ability to write case notes.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or in small group situations to consumers, vendors, and employees of the organization.
